About

At the top of the Acropolis pyramid at Ek Balam in Yucatán, Mexico.

I tried a couple of yoga classes in college, but I didn’t get what the deal was with the stretching and the breathing, and why was there a gong in the room?

Years later, my employer offered a yoga at work program. I had no interest, of course, but my coworkers badgered persuaded me to sign up.

Our teacher gave us a free class pass to the yoga studio, and I decided to try Ashtanga. Afterward I’m not sure I knew what just happened, but I knew it was my practice. A couple of weeks later I had the opportunity to attend a David Swenson workshop, which inspired my practice even more. I’ve been on my mat almost every day since.

This is where I write about my practice and anything and everything related to yoga, both on and off the mat.

When I’m not geeking out about yoga, I do freelance writing and editing, and I enjoy cooking, hiking, photography, traveling, watching Longhorn football, kayaking, and I’ll just stop there. I have too many interests and not enough time.
